Introduction

QuizDoorRush (the “App”) respects the privacy of its users and works to protect their information.

This Privacy Policy explains how user information is handled in the App.

1. Information we collect

As a rule, the App does not collect within the App any personal information that directly identifies a user, such as name, address, telephone number, or email address.

To provide its study features and its quiz battle game, the App may store the following information on the user’s device:

  • The content of tests, questions you create, and questions you import
  • Your answers, whether they were correct, and your study history
  • The content of your flashcards and your review history
  • Notes, files added to the PDF library, and attached images
  • Game scores, points, and progress
  • App settings, such as read-aloud, voice control, and display preferences
  • Temporary data related to PDF export and ZIP import and export

2. How we use information

The App uses the stored information for the following purposes:

  • To provide study features such as custom tests, flashcards, and PDFs
  • To display your answer history, results, and progress
  • To run the quiz battle game, show scores, and present its effects
  • To provide features such as PDF export and ZIP import and export
  • To improve the App and address problems

3. Camera and photo library

With your permission, the App may use the camera and the photo library so that you can attach images to questions and cards, and so that it can read question text from photographs (text recognition).

Only the images you select or capture are processed and stored on your device. They are not sent to the developer’s servers.

4. Microphone, speech recognition, and read-aloud

With your permission, the App may use the microphone and the operating system’s speech recognition so that you can operate the App by voice and have content read aloud.

Because of how the operating system works, audio data may be sent to Apple as part of speech recognition. Such data is handled in accordance with Apple’s privacy policy and your device settings.

The developer does not obtain or store your audio data or the results of speech recognition.

5. Game Center and online play

When you use online features such as playing against a friend, the App uses Apple’s Game Center.

Your Game Center nickname and play information are handled in accordance with Apple’s privacy policy and your device settings.

6. Transmission outside the App

The App uses Firebase, a service provided by Google, to issue an anonymous identifier for each player and to store the player information used by the game.

When you open the App, Firebase sends an installation identifier to Google. When you use the game, an anonymous account is created and the following information is stored on Google’s servers.

  • An anonymous user ID, which is not linked to your name or email address
  • The player name you choose
  • Information needed to run a match

Google handles this information as our service provider. For details, see Privacy and Security in Firebase.

Your study data, answer history, questions you create, notes, and flashcards are not sent to any external server. They remain on your device.

You can delete your anonymous account and the information linked to it at any time from the Settings screen in the App. Doing so also deletes the player information held on Google’s servers, and the App starts again with a new anonymous account.

Separately, if you take the actions below, your own action may share data with other apps, cloud services, or other people.

6.2 Sharing that results from your own actions

  • Exporting a PDF and sharing it
  • Exporting a ZIP file and sharing it
  • Using your device’s sharing features
  • Saving files to other apps or to cloud storage

Please review the privacy policy of the destination service or app to understand how your information is handled there.

7. Providing information to third parties

Except where required by law, the App does not provide user information to third parties.

The App does not provide user information to third parties for advertising purposes.

8. Advertising and analytics

The App shows no advertising and uses no third-party SDK for tracking or advertising purposes.

The App does not use Google Analytics for Firebase or Firebase Crashlytics.

If advertising, analytics, crash reporting, or another external service is introduced in the future, this Privacy Policy will be revised, and notice will be given in the App or on its distribution page as appropriate.

9. Managing data on your device

Study data, notes, flashcards, custom tests, game progress, and similar information created or saved in the App are, as a rule, stored on your device.

You can delete data stored on your device by using the deletion features in the App, by using your device settings, or by uninstalling the App.

Depending on your backup settings, App data may be included in backups such as iCloud Backup. In that case, backups are governed by your Apple Account and your device settings.

10. Importing and exporting files

The App provides ZIP import and export and PDF export so that you can manage your study data and custom tests.

Files you import, and files you export from the App, may contain questions, answers, explanations, images, notes, cards, and similar information.

11. Entering personal information into the App

Please take care not to enter names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, or other personal or sensitive information into notes, questions you create, flashcards, and similar content.

If content you choose to enter contains personal information, you are responsible for managing it.

12. Information collected when you contact us

When you contact the developer by email or another channel, we may collect your email address, the content of your inquiry, information about your device, and information about how you use the App, in order to reply and provide support.

15. Changes to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may change in response to changes in law, additions or changes to the App’s features, the introduction of external services, and similar circumstances.
